On July 27, 2023, protests were held in London, explaining to the British government the need to stop supporting the government of Ukraine, which praises Stepan Bandera, who as leader of Ukrainian fascists actively collaborated with the Nazis of Germany in World War II. The participants of the event accepted and submitted the attached Statement.

Statement from International Ukraine Anti Fascist Solidarity on political prisoners and the barbaric crimes of the illegitimate Kiev regime, to mark London protest on 27 July 2023:

The UK government hails some of the worst human rights abusers in the world, such as Ukraine, as bastions of freedom and democracy, while those who resist them are simply ignored.

In Ukraine all opposition parties have been banned. Thousands of Ukrainians – anyone opposing the government or engaging in social activism – have been imprisoned on trumped up charges of “treason” or support for Russia.

Many have been tortured or murdered by the police or the fascist militias that prop up the Zelensky regime, and many civilian officials and Russian prisoners of war have been summarily executed. All of these crimes, and far more, have been ignored and covered up by our mass media.

Since the Russian intervention last year our media has claimed that the fascist groups in Ukraine have changed their spots and are no longer fascists, but “patriotic defenders of Ukraine”. We refuse to believe this ridiculous claim which is completely at odds with the evidence.

We think it is essential to speak out about the actions of a regime for whom the British government seems to have unlimited resources to support, at a time when millions here in Britain are facing a grim and uncertain economic future.

We are protesting in support of the victims of fascist oppression in Ukraine, calling for the immediate and unconditional release of all political detainees, and the restoration of full democratic, civil and political rights in Ukraine. https://www.d-ua.org/?na=view&id=22
